Blue mountains projects supports cultural advancement through public programs and artist services. These opportunities are focused on process, experimentation, and dialogue, and are aimed particularly at important but under-served individuals. Through our free residency program, we create possibilities for cultural practicioners to forge new pathways in their work and in the world.

Shandaken: storm king - providing free studio space for artists. Shandaken: print studio - hosts artists in residence and educational initiatives, and offers at-cost fabrication opportunities for artists. Shandaken: 14 x 18 - an ongoing opportunity for emerging and mid-career artists to exhibit an artwork on a billboard in new york. This program debuts new work through a request for proposals (rfp) open to all artists with the exception of current students. Selected artists will work with shandaken to produce the image that will be posted to a billboard within the five boroughs.
