01What it does

What Beauty From Ashes does

Mission

Beauty From Ashes Ministries exists to bring the redemptive hope of the gospel to individuals experiencing domestic oppression and abuse by providing survivor support services, advocacy, education, and community training. The organization supports survivors through practical needs assistance, support groups, emergency housing, safety planning, and referrals to community resources, while also equipping churches and local organizations through training and education to recognize and appropriately respond to domestic abuse.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. Survivor care: Beauty From Ashes served 85 survivors in 2025 compared to 45 survivors in 2024. Our support group attendance doubled from 2024 (total attendance count 202) to 2025 (total attendance count 460). We provided housing for 4 survivor families (only 1 in 2024), and we provided furniture to 2 families needing to start over, which we had never done before. We provided a stable Christmas for 20 survivor families through donations of Christmas gifts and food.

  3. Advocacy: We have built a team of volunteer advocates who walk alongside survivors, encouraging them, and in some cases, attending court or legal appointments with them or offering additional help as needed. In 2025, we have moved the Advocate Coordinator position to a staff member because of the increasing size of the advocate team. In 2024, we had 10 advocates, and by the end of 2025 we had 18 advocates.
