What As Healthy as Possible does
Mission
Our mission is to have a positive impact on the lives of those with a POLR2A mutation and to help them, their families, and their caregivers stay as healthy as possible.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.
Programs
On its FY2025 return the organization reported starting a significant new program.
In 2025 As Healthy As Possible was able to disperse a $1000 grant as part of its program services. While offered in the past, this program service had not been undertaken by the organization in prior years.
Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 2).
We endeavor to share and make the most information available to doctors, caregivers, and those interested in educating themselves the POLR2A gene. There are necessary office expenses, administrative costs, and other fees to maintain the formation of our organization. The $252.00 spent to maintain our PMB and $14.43 in Paypal fees are attributed to this effort. Additionally, $134.36 was spent on purchasing Writers for Rare books to be placed at hospitals, fundraising locations, and/or other public locations where our organization has potential to make new contacts with doctors and families.
$401 spent26% of program spendingWe strive to ensure that Scientific Research that benefits those with a POLR2A gene mutation is visible within academia by forming alliances with these institutions. Discussions surround means of supporting a natural history study began in 2024. Members of our organization continued to take part in testing of the survey delivery for the genetic registry that would be setup as a part of this survey. The $97.20 web hosting expenses are attributed to this program service.
$97 spent6% of program spendingWe are ambitious about being able to reach out to those affected by mutations of POLR2A gene, help them find the information they need, and to advocate for resources on their behalf. In 2024 our organization became a NORD platinum member, and our organization has been able to attend the NORD conference in 2024 and 2025 to establish a network or resources. NORD Membership fees of $50.00 contribute to this accomplishment. Also in 2025 our organization provided a grant to help with funeral expenses for a patient with a POLR2A diagnosis. Additional revenue from this area has the potential to be applied to future support of other items such as the natural history study, medical equipment, or travel expenses for other families.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.

Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $4k to $9k (+115%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
