01What it does

What Arizona Voice for Crime Victims Inc does

Mission

To secure rights and services for arizona's and the nation's victims of crime.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. Arizona voice for crime victims (avcv) continued to provide legal representation to vicitms of crime and amicus curiae participation on important victim issues in 2024. This representation was in arizona's trial and appellate courts. Avcv litigated a victims' rights issue in the arizona supreme court in june of 2024 seeking to reverse a decades old court of appeals opinion that violated victims' rights. In august 2024, the court issued its opinion granting relief requested by avcv and reversed the court of appeals. Additionally, the organization continues to provide education, training and assistance to victims' rights attorneys, prosecutors, advocates and others in the criminal justice system. The educational programs are designed to increase state and national awareness of victims' rights.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of ARIZONA VOICE FOR CRIME VICTIMS INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of ARIZONA VOICE FOR CRIME VICTIMS INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $126 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
