01What it does

What 210 Inspired Inc does

Mission

210 Inspired aims to connect student-athletes with local charities that enable student-athletes to use their name, image and likeness (NIL) to raise awareness and funds for causes of their choosing. These relationships will further strengthen the bond between UTSA student-athletes and San Antonio by allowing them to leverage NIL policies to promote growth, enhanced opportunities, and financial benefits to the city. By connecting student-athletes with local charities, 210 Inspired provides the opportunity for UTSA student-athletes to lead by example as they serve our great community.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. After our initial formation in 2022, we saw continued success in 2023 with significant pledge growth from not only UTSA Alumni, but also from local businesses. We partnered with another organization to hold the inaugural UTSA Football Kickoff Luncheon in August 2023 whereby we, collectively, raised over $100,000. Net proceeds from this event went to support UTSA Football players. In addition to supporting football in 2023, we successfully expanded our student-athlete support to Men's and Women's Basketball and Women's Volleyball. This allowed us to support over 40 athletes during 2023. Our student-athletes also continued to serve the San Antonio community by continuing to volunteer at several local non-profit organizations during 2023.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.

2 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 58% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of 210 INSPIRED INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

210 INSPIRED INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 38% of grant income and the top three 96%; half comes from just 2 funders.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left

58% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund 210 INSPIRED INC.

“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Where its funders are

58% of 210 INSPIRED INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $11k that is directly attributable, 91% of it comes from Texas funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $15k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
