Garden of Dreams Foundation
Our mission is supported by three core pillars: 1) community projects - we provide direct financial support for improvements to community facilities, as well as for community-based sports, entertainment and media projects, that enhance the environment of young people where they live and grow.

Each grant placed by the hardship in its grantee’s ZIP, against the area’s typical level.
Its human-services grants (FY17–25, $2.8M) land where the poverty rate runs at 14%, against an area that typically sits at 11%. 71% of those dollars go to grantees based in above-average-need neighborhoods. Most of its grants land in higher-need ZIPs.

Where the work is directed
The same grants placed two ways: where each recipient sits, and where its stated purpose sends the money.
About 65% of Garden of Dreams Foundation’s grant dollars are earmarked for a different county than the recipient’s own address. By recipient address, 97% of the giving stays in NY; by stated purpose, 37%.
