Funders to approach for Rural Klamath Connects
The mission of Rural Klamath Connects is to promote economic development, encourage community projects and events that enhance the quality of life for our residents, while creating a healthy, vibrant community. Rural Klamath Connects is a network of 5 rural communities on the california/Oregon border: tulelake and dorris in california and Malin, merrill, and bonanza in Oregon. Since 2014, our partnership with the 5 cities blossomed after our group participated in an economic summit in klamath falls where 125 participants decided the outlying rural communities deserved priority attention. Our current strategic plan, with a community grant from the ford family foundation, is to help our business community with grant funds for downtown beautification projects which include faade improvements and signage on the outside of their businesses and our beautiful parks. We also provide yearly funding for flowers and greenery in all 5 friendly towns. Our network has built regional partnerships…
