Funders to approach for Northport Community Arts Center

Primary exempt purpose - to bring the. Performing arts to the Northport community. Program service accomplishments: the objective of the Northport community art center (dba Northport performing art center) is to bring talented artists to the Northport community for the enjoyment of the area residents and visitors and to foster performing arts to the youth. In 2025 we hosted or largest schedule of auditorium events (7) throughout the entire 12 months of the year. February- we produced a 3 performance dinner and comedy theater. April- northern Michigan brass band performed may- village voices summer concert july- we produced 6 performances of the musical charlie and the chocolate factory casting 20 youths and 20 adults with a total attendance of 1,103. August- Northport community band performed american spirit concert. Novermber- musical holiday concert with the combined village voices and np community band. December- the nutcracker was performed by a regional youth ballet troupe. Total auditorium attendance was 2,215 in 2025. The summer outdoor music in the park series is held on friday evenings from 7 to 9pm in the kent holton marina pavilion during the summer months. In 2025 we hosted 9 diverse free concerts and drew an average attendance of 965 guests. We annually offer a 1 week summer theater program for students 10 to 14 at little or no cost exposing them to all aspects of on-stage and backstage in either musical theater or improvisational theater.
