Is a grassroots organization established by concerned parents and other informed citizens of Newtown, Connecticut to address the problem of substance use and abuse among young people in the community. Its primary purpose is to provide informative and preventative education on the subjects of legal and illegal substance use/abuse, and implementing positive parenting skills to the community as well as providing help and support for those in need. Newtown Parent Connection, inc. Works in conjunction with town agencies, the police department, the schools, and religious communities to educate the community in order to prevent the use of drugs and alcohol among the youth.
