The Council on Sustainable Aviation Fuels Accountability (cosafa) will establish reporting, accounting, recordkeeping, and auditing procedures that are both necessary and appropriate to maintain an accurate accounting of the production and use of sustainable aviation fuels (saf). To qualify as saf, fuel must be fit for purpose. It is essential that product carbon intensity and other sustainability data be consistently reported, auditable, and traceable to the party providing the information.
