What X Shots Shooting Club does

Mission

The purposes for which the corporation is organized are to promote, encourage and support organized shooting programs with pellet and small caliber firearms sanctioned in and organized by our schools, among citizens of the community, and/or by other national organizations that promote competitive target shooting programs as part of a lawful sports program, to improve marksmanship skills, to support the familiarization programs in the care and safe handling of small caliber and air firearms, and to encourage, where appropriate, community-wide public interest in the participation in such programs; and to promote healthy social and athletic recreation for and amongst the members.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. Providing a year round open shooting club for junior and adult members. We are the only open club on the island. We provide initial equipment and supplies for a novice shooter to learn the sport. We provide instruction and coaching on the fundamentals of shooting and educating novice shooters of the safety of handling rifles. We provide a year round program allowing members to improve their marksmanship skills. There have been many people that benefited from our program.

  2. Hosting Post Season Matches so that junior shooters may get national exposure and ranking to prepare them for collegiate shooting. Hosting Conventional Prone matches for members to hone their shooting skills and get national classifications and awards in the sport. Teams and Individuals have been able to qualify for national matches and improve their marksmanship skills to compete at a higher level of competition. We were able to encourage community-wide awareness and interest by publicizing the results of these matches. Many people participated in matches hosted by our organization.

  3. Enhancing and promoting shooting programs in the schools. Supporting individual junior shooters in their participation in national matches. Donations have been made to schools to help purchase shooting equipment and/or supplies. Donations have helped schools make their ranges more secure and safe for all participants. Donations have helped junior shooters with the costs of travel to the national matches. Many people have benefited from these donations thru their own shooting programs.

1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of X SHOTS SHOOTING CLUB’s funders (the co-funder graph). Top 1 of 2 funders by total. Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of X SHOTS SHOOTING CLUB's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $118 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
