What Wounded Heroes of America a Non-Profit Corporation does
Mission
To provide support to our combat wounded veterans from iraq and afghanistan. We assist them financially for a specified period and if necessary, assist them on legal and financial matters, benefits, housing, and educational needs. We advocate and educate the community as to their issues. There is a lack of understanding between the civilian worlds and our wounded veterans. Plan of action: financial support - constant contact via lunches, monthly dinners, social events -- special programs, christmas, kids, mothers day.

The financial support program is designed to help our combat wounded veterans get through emergencies and other difficult financial times. Typically this occurs while veterans are waiting for the veterans administration and other related agencies to process their service connected disability claims. This support is generally provided in the form of a monthly stipend or grant of $200 per month for a specified period of time, which is usually 6 to 18 months.
