Students participate in solar panel and wind turbine activities to demonstrate the power of natural, renewable energy sources. They also take part in an energy consumption activity to measure energy usage with kilowatt meters. Students learn about energy transmission, consumption and conservation, different energy resources, and careers in clean energy. They come away with a deeper appreciation of the power of natural, renewable energy sources. A gateway to the 21st century bridging expectations is a partnership of sps and world is our classroom (wioc). It aligns with sps' portrait of a graduate: a five-year strategic plan. Bridging expectations is designed to empower high school students with the stem skills they'll need in the industries that need them most.
