What Washed in the Word Inc does

Mission

To edify Christians and strengthen churches by providing religious education.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. Washed in the Word exists to edify Christians and strengthen churches by providing free Bible teaching and Bible study resources. Our goal is to foster Biblical maturation through Biblical saturation in churches and individuals. During 2025, our inaugural year of programming, we carried out our primary exempt purpose through both online and in-person Bible teaching. Each week we release a new expository Bible teaching, which is distributed via washedintheword.life and on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other social platforms. In 2025, we released 52 unique teachings with supporting study resources, comprehensively teaching through the Biblical books of Joshua, James, Judges, and 2 Timothy. Our weekly audience was composed primarily of individuals and small groups, who gathered to watch and listen to Washed in the Word teaching and engage in discussion guided by our study resources. The online ministry reached a growing, geographically diverse audience, as evidenced by active listeners and viewers in 46 different countries by year-end. In addition to weekly online ministry, our Executive Director and Lead Teacher taught in person 49 times across the United States and in…

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Washed in the Word Inc’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of Washed in the Word Inc's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $12k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
