What Wallace Barnett Jr Cism Memorial Foundation does
Mission
This non-profit foundation is named after a man who dedicated his life to protecting and serving the public in the fire service, as well as those who served the health and welfare of all first responders. It was formed to support the organized training and continuing education of members of the nebraska critical incident stree management program, to enhance the provision of competent, effective, evidence-based, and timely services to nebraska's first responders. Research has made it clear that many first responders sacrifice a great deal for the public good, and in doing so often experience undue stress, trauma, and disruption of both their professional and personal lives to the extent that there is seriuos risk to their health and welfare, and subsequently to the public welfare. It is hoped that the support from this foundation may in some small measure repay all that has been so freely given.
As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2018, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2018, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2024 to 2025, from $24k to $33k (+36%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
65% of WALLACE BARNETT JR CISM MEMORIAL FOUNDATION’s revenue is contributions — about as donation-reliant as the typical peer (86% for the typical peer).

Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $77 → $60.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of WALLACE BARNETT JR CISM MEMORIAL FOUNDATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of WALLACE BARNETT JR CISM MEMORIAL FOUNDATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $337 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
