The alumni association is a vital partner in the continued excellence of the university of new mexico through the significant engagement of alumni. The alumni association's mission is to serve as a bridge between alumni and the university to ensure the continued success of the university and to enrich the lives of alumni.

Program
The university of new mexico (unm) alumni association offers a variety of events and initiatives aimed at fostering strong connections between the more than 225,000 alums worldwide with current students, graduates, faculty and unm, community and government leaders, while supporting outreach both on and off campus. A central part of the association's mission is to serve as a bridge between alumni and the university, ensuring the continued success of unm's programs and strengthening collaboration across its colleges, schools, and programs. One of the key initiatives is the lobo career network, providing career resources, a job board, a directory to promote alum businesses and encourage alums to do business with alums, as well as linkedin professional groups and professional development. To provide mentoring opportunities between students and alums, the association organizes the pizza with professional program where students from a particular unm department are invited to a pizza lunch and panel discussion with alums who graduated from their program.
