Program
The association had a very active year and offered multiple activities to educate Americans about the Turkish culture, observe and celebrate Turkish national/religious Holidays. The April 23 International Children's Day was one of the best attended events as over 50 families and children attended the activity. The Association collaborated with a member-owned PR company and a charitable organization in Turkey (Engelsiz Yasam Vakfi) and organized a fund-raising dinner event to celebrate TAACO's 50th anniversary and 96th anniversary of Turkish Republic Day in October, 2019. The fund-raising special event was well attended with over 100 adults and children, and raised over $7K after the expenses. The donations and proceeds from the dinner event were donated to the charities for supporting needy students and Engelsiz Yasam Vakfi in Turkey.
