Programs

  1. The Light Project's annual cornhole tournament, "collars & community," is a unique and engaging event that brings together community members in a fun and competitive atmosphere. The tournament fosters connections between clergy and laypeople, raises funds for The Light Project's initiatives (such as community outreach, podcast productions, prayer tools, and evenings of reflection), and raises awareness about the organization's goals and values, emphasizing community involvement and the use of individual talents for the greater good. Each year, we serve 125-150 people at the "collars & community" event, igniting their faith while celebrating the supportive community that drives our mission.

  3. Rooted is a ministry of st. Rita parish in alexandria, louisiana, dedicated to creating opportunities for families to encounter christ together and grow in their catholic faith. On november 1, The Light Project was invited to present a talk titled "living the seasons of the church." this presentation explored how the liturgical year invites christians to live in rhythm with the life of christ-from the anticipation of advent to the joy of easter and the steady growth of ordinary time. Through teaching, storytelling, and personal witness, we demonstrated how the traditions and history of the church continue to speak into the realities of everyday life, helping participants recognize god's presence in every season of their own journey. The speaking engagement directly supported The Light Project's mission of creating sacred spaces that ignite a renewal of christian faith by encouraging participants to deepen their understanding of the church's liturgical life and embrace practical ways to live out their faith in daily life. More than 70 people attended the event.
