01What it does

What The Caring Community of Connecticut Inc does

Mission

To provide a full range of community based services for developmentally disabled persons, most especially those who have behavioral and social deficits which are not easily accommodated by the general community. It is the agency's goal to afford people we serve a setting and the mechanisms to diminish those mal adaptive traits which have been obstacles to full participation in community living. We fully subscribe to the proposition that all developmentally disabled persons shall live quality lives which are full, fruitful and within a framework of fellowship with others.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

  1. Residential programs consist of 20 group homes providing services to 82 adults with severe/profound developmental disabilities including 6 crs consumers. Also, in home support for 1 person. 1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of THE CARING COMMUNITY OF CONNECTICUT INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of THE CARING COMMUNITY OF CONNECTICUT INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $807 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
