Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville (THS) is an acute care, full-service hospital with 47 staffed and 47 available beds providing health care for residents in Erath and surrounding counties since 1982. THS offers health care services such as inpatient and outpatient surgery, women's services, advanced diagnostic imaging, inpatient physical therapy, wound care, and cardiac rehabilitation. THS has been recognized as a Nurse-Friendly and Baby-Friendly Hospital, operates a Level IV Trauma Center, and is designated as a Support (Level III) Stroke Facility. During the year, THS had 3,945 patient days, 1,580 discharges, 27,971 outpatient encounters, 18,118 emergency room visits and 283 births. THS provides quality medical healthcare regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay. The hospital provides care to persons covered by governmental programs including Medicare and Medicaid for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care.
