01What it does

What Tcf Mercy Inc does

Mission

Together with the nationals, TCF Mercy has been involved with sheltering hundreds of orphans, caring for widows, praying for the sick and dying, caring for flood victims. Countless families who have lost loved ones because of war, disease, AIDS, and malnutrition have received comfort and help. Many have access to education, healthcare, and spiritual care.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. TCF mercy cares for over 100 orphans through feeding, caring for their physical needs, educating them and giving them spiritual training. One orphan who came to us last year was Laurinda. She is 12 years old and from Dondo, Mozambique where our main work centers. She came into our care in March, brought by Social Services, in coordination with the police, due to mistreatment. At the time of her arrival, her entire body was covered in wounds resulting from the physical aggression she suffered at the hands of her own father and stepmother. However, she is now doing well and has shown herself to be cheerful, intelligent, and friendly.

  2. TCF Mercy promotes spiritual values, encouraging adults and children in following Jesus Christ, and in providing training for church leaders. We host a conference every summer, inviting leaders and Christ followers from Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. This year national, provincial, district and local pastors were involved in the conference. Pastor Rego, who is involved in these conferences says that they are bringing great healing to Mozambique and other countries who participate, including Malawi, Zimbabwe, and particularly the United States.

Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of TCF MERCY INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of TCF MERCY INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $112 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
