This particular project benefited the Thomas Jefferson designed hotel and allowed for the beginning of tours on the property. Part of the roof on this historic hotel is slate roofing. The leakage was destroying the interior of the structure. The roofing had to be completed before another project could begin. Slate roof repair is a specialized field not every roofer can perform the needed experience.
