Participants engage in collaborative efforts on various aviation projects, gaining exposure to the multifaceted aspects of the aviation industry. Saf recognizes the importance of promoting education and opportunity within the aviation industry, and through its initiatives, it strives to make a positive impact on individuals and the broader community.

Program

  1. The Stratus Aviation Foundation ("saf") conducts its primary aviation educational programs in collaboration with brandywine aviation & maintenance at brandywine regional airport. Saf's educational initiatives encompass comprehensive aviation experiences, including flight training and mechanical training. The foundation goes beyond theoretical knowledge, offering discovery flights to participants who aspire to pursue a career in aviation. These immersive activities aim to instill a deep understanding and passion for aviation, preparing participants for potential future careers in the field.in addition to its core educational programs, saf actively supports the broader community by providing basic scholarships. These scholarships serve two purposes: assisting participants within saf's programs who may lack the financial means to pursue aviation careers and contributing to other foundations with similar missions.a program participant and mentee was recently hired by piedmont airlines. He started with saf back in 2013 as a junior in high school. This is our latest success story.
