01What it does

What Stoney Creek High School Band Boosters does

Mission

The Music Boosters is a public charity whose mission is to provide support and enrichment to all music students participating in Stoney Creek High School music programs. We support their education and experiences by purchasing materials, uniforms, music, equipment, instruments, instructions, clinicians, and travel to music camps.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. The Music Boosters' largest program was our support of the Stoney Creek High School Cougar Marching Band. We paid for the appx. 130 student group to attend a weeklong sleepaway camp to train for the season and have traditional Michigan camp experiences. In addition, we provided clinicians and staff to coach the musicians, coordinated chaperones for away games, hosted a marching band festival for our local school district, and sent our band to march in the town Christmas parade and compete in a regional marching band festival.

  2. The Music Boosters' second largest program was our support of the Stoney Creek High School Jazz Band. We provided a clinician, sent the musicians on an intensive weekend retreat to prepare for the season, sent them to a regional jazz festival where they received sophisticated feedback on their performance and witness other performances, and together with the other schools in our district, hosted a "Tri-High" jazz festival in a neighboring city. This neighboring city is struggling economically, and by performing in their revitalized downtown area, we helped bring attention and spending to this city. There were approximately 45 students.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of STONEY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTERS’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of STONEY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTERS's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $426 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
