Mission

As declared in the original Articles of Incorporation filed in the state of Ohio: The St Clairsville Area Council of Churches exists for charitable and religious purposes and to receive gifts, legacies, and devises for the purchase and distribution of food, and services as may be necessary to accommodate the necessities of the less fortunate in our area.

Programs

  1. The Council operates a weekly food pantry to address food insecurity among low income individuals and families in the St. Clairsville School District and surrounding areas. During the year, 2,591 service visits were provided, resulting in the distribution of more than 31,000 meals to over 7,300 individuals. Operations were supported by more than 4,500 volunteer hours dedicated to food procurement, inventory management, and client service. This program directly advances the Council's exempt purpose by reducing hunger and stabilizing vulnerable households.
