Semcil's personal care assistant (pca) program is a personal care provider organization (pcpo). A pca follows a plan of care developed by the pca recipient and a qualified professional (as defined by the mn department of human services). The qualified professional ensures that the pca services provided follow the care plan and assists the pca recipient in evaluating the work performed by the pca. Pcas and homemakers may assist with activities of daily living, health related procedures and tasks, instrumental activities of daily living, meal preparation and essential housekeeping and community integration.
