Programs

  1. The federation provides a vehicle for farmers to work together to develop unified policies to feature agricultural achievements and promote opportunities for our members to come together and share agricultural experiences, provide educational classes and promote fellowship amongst members and their families.

  2. Young farmers & ranchers - provide support for young farmers and their families by providing programs and activities for education, leadership development and advocacy.

  3. Provide opportunity for members to engage with legislators on a grassroots level and advocate for policies in support of south carolina agriculture.

How concentrated its funding is

SOUTH CAROLINA FARM BUREAU FEDERATION leans on a few funders — its largest provides 97% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

97% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund SOUTH CAROLINA FARM BUREAU FEDERATION.
