Programs
North American Congress for Conservation Biology (NACCB) - The biennial NACCB represents an important facet of SCBNA's work to foster communication among conservation scientists and practitioners in North America. The goal of NACCB is to provide a forum for presenting and discussing new research, developments and strategies that will inform policy changes and conservation practices to address today's conservation challenges. NACCB 2026 will be held July 12-16, 2026 in Milwaukee, WI and will be jointly hosted with the Society for Ecological Restoration (and the Society for Ecological Restoration's Midwest Great Lakes Chapter). Multiple workshops, short courses, interactive sessions, symposia and contributed oral, speed and poster presentations are planned for the Congress, along with several opportunities for professional development, networking, and collaboration. A majority of planning was carried out for the Congress in 2025, and upwards of 700 attendees are expected to attend from both host organizations.

Activities included winter, spring summer, and fall workshops alongside professional development webinars and a mini virtual conference (Education Forum) in late summer. All events and programs were well-attended (>1400 registrations) and were made available on the organization's website for future viewing. Moreover, in preparation for NACCB 2026, the organization continued to build on their support of student-led Chapters across the region (including assisting with the incorporation and reincorporation of five Chapters) and developed initiatives to maximize conference accessibility for attendees. Strategic partnerships and collaborations were also developed with other conservation organizations as part of the events and programs outlined above.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2019, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2019, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2019 to 2020, from $273k to $373k (+37%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Government-grant reliance: 2019 0% · 2020 5% · 2021 0% · 2022 2% · 2023 0% · 2024 0%. Grants only. Government contracts and fees sit inside program revenue.
