What Social Justice for US does
Mission
The main purpose of the organization is spreading awareness and educating on local and global issues related to the social injustice of marginalized peoples.
As stated on its FY2022 Form 990-EZ.
Program
Social justice has used several effective motivational tactics to engage and inspire their audience. We celebrate cultural heritage through events like juneteenth, a cultural celebration and soul food sunday which provide an opportunity for people in our community to learn about appreciate the contributions of african americans to our society. We uplift marginalized communities such as black descendants and indigenous peoples through events like power in unity and systemic issues on tap which aim to break down barriers and create a more inclusive and equitable society. We promote civic engagement through events like rock the vote, which encourages young people to exercise their right to vote and participate in the democratic process. Together we challenge systemic injustices through the safe place pledge initiative, which asks business and individuals to acknowledge the impact of these injustices on marjinalized communities and take action to counteract them.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2020, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2020, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2020 to 2021, from $3k to $2k (−39%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 1 of the last 3 reported years ran a deficit.

Who funds it, year by year
2022 → 2023: the base held at 1 funder, grant income rose $5 → $16.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR US’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR US's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $21 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
