01What it does

What Smiles Are Forever does

Mission

Smiles Are Forever is a nonprofit childrens charity founded to put smiles on the faces of kids experiencing pediatric cancer. Based in the greater cleveland, ohio area, we have a special heart for helping children diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Raising awareness and creating smiles is our 1 goal. We are a different kind of childrens charity, one that harnesses the power of new media to activate communities and rally them around children in need by telling their stories with powerful video messaging.

As stated on its FY2023 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. We tell the stories of children suffering and in need, giving them a voice and a platform for sharing and not feeling alone. We tell the stories of the donors who have come to their aid or brought them that spark of joy in the form of a smile. In addition to building a beacon of hope through our social media pages and videos, we will also organize events throughout the year to raise funds for pediatric cancer patients. Events not only bring donations but they are a great tool for raising awareness. Our ultimate goal is to turn frowns upside down and bring additional attention to the needs of children suffering from pediatric cancer, uniting compassionate people everywhere to provide the support and love they need to make it through any tough time with a smile.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of SMILES ARE FOREVER’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of SMILES ARE FOREVER's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $479 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
