01What it does

What Shadow of His Wings does

Mission

Shadow of His Wings is a ministry, raised up by god, called to "change the world one woman at a time for jesus christ". There is a sense of urgency to help women understand their need of knowing god with all their heart, mind and soul as commanded us in deuteronomy 6:4-9. As sohw stepped foot into kenya africa, the calling of the ministry shifted and the need to spread the word to all nations became an urgent calling to our hearts. We witnessed both the need for physical food and water, and the deep desire for spiritual food.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Kenya mission - through the mission work in kenya, women and orphans are fed and cared for, but most importantly, they are given the word of god and through the word of god, they are given hope. Sohw operates an academy in awasi, kenya attended primarily by orphan children ranging in age from from infancy to approximately 13 years old. Children that attend receive a free education as well as one free meal per day. Sohw also operates the nyando tailored in love training center. During the twelve month program, young people learn how to sew using a sewing machine, are trained in how to manage money, and learn how to run a business.

  2. Sohw offers weekly bible study as we believe the word of god is the foundation of life. Jesus christ is the only hope for the world, and so through deep teaching of his word, we are able to teach and challenge women in their walk.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of SHADOW OF HIS WINGS’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of SHADOW OF HIS WINGS's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $448 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
