What Safely Somewhere Foundation does

Mission

At the heart of the Safely Somewhere Foundation, our mission is to assist the medical community with locating a safe living environment for those that are underfunded and no longer able to live independently. This mission is guided by the understanding that patient advocacy needs to encompass the full spectrum of care with focus on physical, familial, emotional, mental and financial health. From this perspective, we are able to maximize the efforts of our partners and give back to the community to provide an environment that allows for safety, independence, and well being to live and flourish.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. In this program we assisted families and individuals with finding assisted living options that were suitable for each given case based on the level of care associated with the client, the preferred location where the individual or family wanted to be, and the budget that was available for placement. Based on these criteria, options were set up, the individual or family members were toured, and the facility was selected by the family. The client was then transferred to the facility and cared for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  2. In this program we assisted underfunded individuals with the costs associated with assisted living. This ranged from assistance with the transportation, covering the cost of the speciality medications, help paying for durable medical equipment, or even paying for room and board at an assisted living facility. This program consisted of all charity funding and no revenue was collected.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of SAFELY SOMEWHERE FOUNDATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of SAFELY SOMEWHERE FOUNDATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $231 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
