01What it does

What Rural Health Leadership and Education Foundation does

Mission

The foundation was created to elevate aspiring rural health leaders by reinforcing supported programs that educate rural health professionals on best practices, both in rural facilities and in washington dc.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Program

  1. The national rural health foundation (nrhf) worked closely with nrha in 2024 to update and expand the training offered by the rural health fellows program, a year-long leadership development program geared specifically toward rural health professionals looking to take on expanded roles within their communities. Updates to the program came from suggestions made by program alumni and included integrating more media training, discussion topics, and a diversified group of expert speakers. Working with nrha and the rural research policy institute (rupri), nrhf contributed to the "the future of rural health: a summit of thought leaders" event in november 2024. During this meeting, rural health experts discussed medicare and medicaid payment, workforce shortages, public health, the role of technology, and integrated behavioral health.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of RURAL HEALTH LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of RURAL HEALTH LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $9k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
