01What it does

What Rossinca Heritage School San Jose Inc does

Mission

We believe that when children and their families understand their own culture, sharing theirs and learning ours, the most natural outcome is peace. We build bridges instead of walls. By valuing their culture we see general reciprocity in embracing ours together. We start with children so that they can confidently understand who they are, where they are, and may continue their journey, simultaneously proud of their origins and new home. In this way, each child becomes a bridge in and of themselves, empowered to lead from within and without.

As stated on its FY2021 Form 990.

Program

Education classes, after school program and summer camp:the multitude of various lessons and activities, all of which are conducted in russian, provides the opportunity for each child and his or her family to pursue their individual interests and talents. Groups are limited to a small amount of students to allow teachers the ability to provide each student with the time and special attention they deserve. This additionally allows the teachers to better understand each students personalities, strengths and weaknesses and to build an effective system in the classroom based on trust and respect. The center's unique team of teachers and instructors can not only pass their knowledge and skills on to your children, but also surround them with warmth, love and care.

03Who funds it

Who funds it, year by year

2018 → 2021: the base broadened from 1 funder to 3 funders, grant income rose $25k → $54k.

3 of 6 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 95% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

How concentrated its funding is

ROSSINCA HERITAGE SCHOOL SAN JOSE INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 60% of grant income and the top three 99%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

99% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund ROSSINCA HERITAGE SCHOOL SAN JOSE INC.

Where its funders are

95% of ROSSINCA HERITAGE SCHOOL SAN JOSE INC's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $7k that is directly attributable, 81% of it comes from California funders.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $135k arriving through sponsors registered in 3 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
