What Roadmap Social Justice Consulting Inc does
Mission
To strengthen non-profit organizations through capacity building, peer learning, and field building.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.
Programs
Roadmap provides high-quality, low-cost capacity-building support to non-profit organizations and philanthropic institutions. Roadmap provided customized and holistic capacity-building support to 20 organizations throughout the country in 2025. In this aspect of our work, organizations come through our intake process and are matched with a member (s) of our highly skilled consultant network. A scope of work that has been mutually agreed upon between the organization and the consultant is implemented over a series of months or years. Organizations pay for these services from their organizational budget. Roadmap also provides capacity-building support to cohorts of grantees funded by various foundations. Throughout 2025 we supported 6 philanthropic foundations which allowed us to provide direct capacity building support to 57 grantee partners. Organizations do not pay directly for these services. They receive grants from sponsoring foundations to fund the work so that they have access to capacity-building support without having to spend their own organizational resources on these services. Lastly, another aspect of our work to strengthen organizations and leaders is to provide…

In 2024 we launched a new pilot structure for our network along with many learning opportunities for network members to sharpen their skills and engage in collective learning so that they can provide even more skillful capacity-building support to the non-profit organizations they serve. In addition, roadmap led a series of webinars and trainings for our clients to sharpen their capacity building and leadership skills.

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2023, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2023, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2023 to 2024, from $1.1M to $1.5M (+36%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.

Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
2 of 4 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 24% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of ROADMAP SOCIAL JUSTICE CONSULTING INC’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
ROADMAP SOCIAL JUSTICE CONSULTING INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 49% of grant income and the top three 89%; half comes from just 2 funders.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 2 funders to its left
51% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund ROADMAP SOCIAL JUSTICE CONSULTING INC.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
ROADMAP SOCIAL JUSTICE CONSULTING INC draws 100% of its grant income from funders outside Maryland, across 2 states in all.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $180k arriving through sponsors registered in 2 states is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
