Rising Sun Montessori School (rsms) began operation as a public charter school in august 2014. With a foundation in the montessori method, rsms offers traditional subject areas of math, science, english, social studies, and art, in line with the common core state standards. The vision of rsms is to implement an effective educational program that will sustain the mission for continued generations of rsms students and families. Rsms is committed to strengthening the critical thinking and problem solving skills of all students and to encourage an atmosphere of inquisitiveness and interaction, collaboration, entrepreneurship, communication, and global awareness - all essential for the globally competitive, 21st century student.
