Mission
Rhythmic Mind is a hip hop therapy organization providing holistic therapeutic services. We offer culturally responsive avenues for teens and young adults to engage in their own empowerment through hip hop. We aspire to cultivate inspiration, creativity and healing in the youth we serve, giving them tools to facilitate their personal development, as well as a means to address social inequalities and healing within their respective communities. We believe rhythm to be one of the most dynamic and effective agents in addressing trauma, and strive to harness its transformative power in the service of assisting youth in discovering and unfolding their highest potential.

Program
Rhythmic Mind's programs implement our custom designed therapeutic positive youth development curriculums, which utilize hip hop music and culture as the primary therapeutic medium. These programs are built from evidenced based practices, incorporate aspects of various mental health models, and focus on, enhance and amplify the inherent therapeutic benefits of hip hop music and culture. Our programs directly address the impact of trauma on the brain and central nervous system, and provide the youth we serve with a safe space for developing emotional awareness, stress management skills, and positive self expression. Our programs primarily serve at-risk/at-promise youth from historically marginalized communities, and are offered in settings such as juvenile detention centers, residential treatment centers, and schools/afterschool programs
