01What it does

What Regen Brands Institute does

Mission

The Regen Brands Institute is a nationwide educational organization dedicated to increasing the adoption of regenerative agriculture by encouraging consumer packaged goods brands who purchase regeneratively farmed ingredients.

As stated on its FY2026 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. The ReGen Brands Institute operates two primary program areas that support our exempt purpose of increasing the adoption of regenerative agriculture: Research & Education and Capital. Research & Education accounts for approximately 75% of our activity and is designed to educate, inform, and equip stakeholders across the food system. Through original research, content production, and educational outreach, we help consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands better understand and adopt regenerative ingredient sourcing. Key initiatives include the ReGen Brands Podcast (interviews with regenerative CPG leaders), the ReGen Brands Blog (written articles), the ReGen Brands Weekly Newsletter (a news digest with over 4,900 subscribers), the ReGen Brands Reports (long-form studies on consumer demand and market performance), and the ReGen Brands Databases (interactive online tools aggregating regenerative brand data). All educational content is offered for free online and aims to build shared knowledge t

Each line starts at 100 in 2024, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2024, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Regen Brands Institute’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of Regen Brands Institute's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $133k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
