01What it does

What Refine KC School Inc does

Mission

The purpose is to provide the Kansas City Missouri area with Christian education through the establishment of one or more private schools for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The mission is to develop academic and spiritual leaders through personalized learning service and discipleship in a Christ-centered community.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

  1. Refine KC School served 40 students and over 20 families. Four faculty members taught classes in Bible Math English Social Studies Science and Physical Education. The school also had a para-educator plus many volunteers who helped students academically taught art and taught life skills such as woodworking and cooking. Students used their musical talents to lead weekly chapel services. Faculty supported students as they became leaders in preparing the schools yearbook and to plan various school activities.

  2. Through sharing space with our partner church we have more areas to use as classrooms. We have spaces that can be used by all of our students for devotion chapel physical education and lunch and spaces that allow us to separate elementary and secondary students academically. The additional space has allowed teachers to not only personalize learning better but fosters better collaboration for students. There also exists a common area to house school supplies that can also be used for teacher collaboration.

  3. Because our educational niche is to personalize learning we have witnessed a lot of growth in our students especially those who have been a part of our school all three years. Our students not only are improving in the core academic areas but they are improving in their critical thinking skills and in their drive to use their God-given abilities to the fullest. Some students who were working on grade level have now exceeded the curriculum suited to their age. Some students who enrolled in our school behind grade level have made great progress to get back on grade level. Our curriculum is rigorous yet flexible allowing teachers to reach all levels of ability.

1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of Refine KC School Inc’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of Refine KC School Inc's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $51 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
