What Raleigh Village East does

Mission

The mission of Raleigh Village East is to give residents of downtown neighborhoods, as they grow older, the practical means to live their lives to the fullest in their homes by providing information, services and activities that foster a strong sense of community.

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.

Programs

  1. Raleigh Village East contributed to the ability and wishes of 451 village seniors, most in marginalized communities, to remain in their homes. We markedly expanded our efforts towards the physical and accessibility conditions of their homes, leveraging a raleigh nc home revitalization program and augmenting it with essential emergency repairs and modifications. In addition, we assisted 390 aging villagers with senior targeted vaccines (covid, flu, and pneumococcal) along with providing rapid test kits, masks and other ppe supplies. In total we assisted 841 villagers in 2023.
