What Parent Citywide African American Educational Focus Group does
Mission
Our mission is to enhance the educational, cultural and social wholeness of African American children and all children and parents in the city of Las Vegas and nationally. Parent Citywide Focus is to create supplemental academic and cultural programs that will enhance and encourage youth to excel to the highest level of excellence. Parent Citywide mission is to gather pertinent data, information and statistics from educational institutions to evaluate and disseminate this information to empower parents, guardians and other concerned parties in the community. Lastly, having involvement in setting policies that directly effect student and families.

Annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive: Parent Citywide's annual toy and food drive provides hundreds of families with food and toys for low income families in need. With the economy down the need for many families have increased in the past several years. Combined efforts with Trader Joe's and Three Square Food Bank, local politicians, bankers, law-enforcement, local radio stations and businesses provides service to the many families in need.
