What Parable International does
Mission
Parable International is a Christian educational and missions organization dedicated to training individuals in creative arts, storytelling, media, and discipleship. The ministry equips students and emerging leaders through teaching, workshops, media resources, and outreach, helping them grow spiritually and develop their creative gifts for the benefit of churches, ministries, and communities worldwide.
As stated on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.
Program
In 2024, Parable International reached approximately 1,580 people through teaching, preaching, leadership development, and creative ministry across five countriesMexico, Costa Rica, Tanzania, Switzerland, and the United States. More than 140 students and emerging leaders from over 25 nations received hands-on discipleship and creative training through a combination of classroom teaching, workshops, ministry nights, and leadership sessions. Across the year, Parable provided over 100 hours of teaching and training in creative storytelling, hearing Gods voice, leadership, and spiritual formation. In addition to formal instruction, Parable International maintained ongoing creative discipleship, leadership mentoring, media production, ministry travel, and partnership development to support churches, ministries, and emerging leaders throughout the year. Nearly 1,000 copies of Awaken O Dreamer were distributed globally, and five testimony films were produced for Colorado Churchs Easter series. Both Tyler and Rebecca completed a three-month Leadership Training School in Switzerland to strengthen Parables long-term capacity for leadership, discipleship, and future training initiatives.
The program described on its FY2024 Form 990-EZ.
Who funds it, year by year
Grant support over time, funder by funder — shade shows the grant size each year.
1 of 2 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 58% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of PARABLE INTERNATIONAL’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
How concentrated its funding is
PARABLE INTERNATIONAL leans on a few funders — its largest provides 58% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
58% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund PARABLE INTERNATIONAL.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
58% of PARABLE INTERNATIONAL's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Of the $8k that is directly attributable, 100% of it comes from funders outside Texas, across 1 state.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $11k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
