01What it does

What Nourish New England does

Mission

Nourish New England's mission is to unite regions, expand knowledge and awareness, and celebrate global traditions through the joy of Food & Beverage culture in New England. We aim to enhance public understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures, foster economic growth, promote learning, and create an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds can come together and enjoy. Through our fundraising activities we will support other nonprofit organizations and charitable activities such as, but not limited to, food banks, soup kitchens, and cultural and youth organizations. NNE was organized exclusively for charitable and/or educational (non-degree granting) purposes within New Hampshire law including RSA Chap. 292 and within the scope of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As part of its broader mission, Nourish New England is committed to reducing food insecurity and supporting other underserved community needs.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990-EZ.

Program

  1. Nourish New England (NNE) hosted community engagement events, including the New Hampshire World Christmas Market, which combined public outreach with food collection efforts. The event included ticketed admission, food and craft vendors, and community engagement activities for families, including a food donation drive. All net proceeds support the organization's charitable programs and mission. The event raised awareness of food insecurity in the community and supported program funding while collecting food donations for distribution to those in need. The food drive from the Market resulted in NNE collecting over 12 60-gallon bins of donations which supported Feed the Kids, two food pantries in Merrimack, NH and a local young family that was enduring hardship and needed food for their kids. Additionally, during 2025, NNE was able to donate funds raised from the market to help fund a community holiday dinner for those in need. Market funds will also support additional food insecurity related donations in future years.
