Programs

  1. Beethoven and Banjos Music Festival and School Programs: The Northwoods Music Collaborative produces and provides music programs and school music programs to lower income communities on a "come as you are, pay what you can" donation basis, thereby furthering music appreciation and understanding. We present to over 2000 community members and 1500 students in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

  3. The Lullaby Project, in collaboration with Carnegie Hall, pairs parents and caregivers with professional musicians and writers to compose and sing lullabies for their children. Working with the Vermont Network and Writers for Recovery for the last six years, they have brought the Lullaby Project to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in communities and at the Vermont women's correctional facility. Each song amplifies love, connection and healing. Our teaching artists report that this is a powerful experience and the culminating performances that result from the work are amazing.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $27k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been.
