Mission

Nnsr was formed in 2012 with the goal of bringing the community together in a positive, active, and enriching environment. Since our formation, we have grown by leaps and bounds. Our first program started with just 50 kids. Now, we are taking in over 5,000 program registraitons a year. We hope to keep this momentum, since we feel that our programs provide a much needed oportunity to escape the everpresent digital inteface that pervades nearly every facet of our society. We provide one simple solution; get out and play we offer a program for nearly everyone to ditch the cell phones, computer monitors, and telvisions and join others from the community in playing an organized sport. Stay active, stay healthy

As stated on its FY2024 Form 990.

Program

  1. Youth sports our youth sports programs bring in the most revenue of any of our programs. We run 5 youth sports seasons throughout the year; winter youth hoops, spring flag football, summer youth hoops, fall flag football and fall youth hoops. We offer kinder through middle school divisions for all of our youth sports leagues. We see approximately 2500 kids across these 5 programs many of them registering for multiple programs. These programs also involve organizing a dozen different locations, over 300 volunteer coaches and 20 employees. We pride ourselves in running well organized recreation programs that people come back to again and again. In addition to our youth leagues we also offer peewee sports programs for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. These 8 week introductory sports sessions run concurrently throughout the year. We offer basketball, t-ball, soccer and flag football. We see approximately 350 little ones throughout the year. 1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.

From the IRS filings of NORTHERN NEVADA SPORTS & RECREATION 6’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.

Where its funders are

100% of NORTHERN NEVADA SPORTS & RECREATION 6's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.

Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $6k arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
