CREDENTIALING: From April 1, 2022 - March 31, 2025, a total of 1,358 Community Health Workers (CHWs) were certified through the North Carolina Community Health Worker Association (NCCHWA). This statewide credentialing process helps maintain quality consistency, and recognition of the CHW profession across diverse health and community settings.

ADVOCACY: NCCHWA actively mobilized CHWs to engage in advocacy efforts aimed at promoting systems change and sustainability for the profession: 1. 172 CHWs engaged in the NCCHWA Advocacy Coalition 2. 130 CHWs participated in Advocacy Days 3. 180 legislative meetings were conducted with policymakers These activities uplift the CHW voice in policy discussions and advance health priorities across North Carolina.
