What Newmarket Business Association does
Mission
The Newmarket Business Association is comprised of local member businesses and organizations with the primary function to support business and community in the newmarket area. The association focuses its efforts two-fold: * business-to-business support through networking, education and promotional benefits * business to community relations through the support of community events and activities that contribute to a more robust newmarket- a positive for businesses, employees and customers. We work to build relationships between businesses, strengthening partnerships with local government and creating alliances with other organizations for the good of our members and the community.
As stated on its FY2020 Form 990-EZ.
Program
The Newmarket Business Association resulted from the need of business members, residents, and town government to facilitate the establishment and success of businesses within the town. Currently there are approximately 100 members.we work directly with the town administration and the community development corporation to promote newmarket to existing and potential businesses. A key element in attracting a new business is the success of businesses that already exist in newmarket.
The first program described on its most recent Form 990-EZ.
The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended. The shaded band is where the middle 50% of its peers' revenue would sit, given their growth.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2018 to 2019, from $10k to $5k (−48%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
0% of NEWMARKET BUSINESS ASSOCIATION’s revenue is contributions — more earned-revenue than three-quarters of its peers (77% for the typical peer).
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 3 of the last 4 reported years ran a deficit.
