What Mr David's Flooring Charity Foundation does
Mission
Mr. David's flooring charity foundation is organized to increase awareness and provide financial support for local initiatives benefiting communities in the chicagoland area.
As stated on its FY2020 Form 990-EZ.
Program
"mr. David's challenge" is the foundation's annual fundraising event which is comprised of an 18.4 mile bike ride and a 5k family-friendly run/walk. The goal of these activities is to increase awareness and raise funds for community initiatives and resources that may have a significant impact on the residents in chicagoland. .in 2016, the foundation selected alexian brothers foundation (now amita health foundation) as its primary community partner, pledging to donate $50,000 for their initiatives at the amita alexian brothers behavioral health hospital in hoffman estates, illinois. The behavioral health hospital treats hundreds of community members every day, many being teenagers and children..their initiatives include expanding autism services and building transitional housing for those who remain under care for their mental illnesses but desire to eventually live independently..the need for expanded mental illness services continues to impact the local community. Accordingly, mr. David's flooring charity foundation continues to partner with the amita alexian brothers foundation. .the annual fundraiser was not held in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic. However, as originally…

The organization over time
Each line starts at 100 in 2017, so what you read is the shape rather than the size: 150 means half as much again as 2017, 50 means half. The number beside each label in the key is where it ended.
Balance sheet
Total assets and total liabilities at each year end, in dollars. The largest one-year move in total assets was 2017 to 2018, from $42k to $157k (+277%).
How it's funded, over time
Each bar is one year's revenue split into where it came from, and every bar is the same height — these are shares, not amounts, so a year that raised twice as much looks the same size. Hover a bar for the split.
Surplus & reserves
Operating surplus or deficit each year, and months of liquidity in hand. 2 of the last 4 reported years ran a deficit.
Who funds it, year by year
2020 → 2021: the base held at 1 funder, grant income fell $30 → $11.
1 of 1 of your funders are donor-advised or pass-through sponsors (tagged DAF) — 100% of grant dollars received. That money is really individual donors directing a sponsor; the institutions to cultivate are the non-DAF funders.
From the IRS filings of MR DAVID'S FLOORING CHARITY FOUNDATION’s funders (the co-funder graph). Association, not causation. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
Where its funders are
100% of MR DAVID'S FLOORING CHARITY FOUNDATION's grant income arrives through donor-advised or pass-through sponsors, whose addresses record where the money is held rather than where the donor is. Too little is directly attributable to place on a map.
Funder states come from each funder’s own filing. $41 arriving through sponsors registered in 1 state is excluded from the map and the split above: a sponsor holds money on a donor’s behalf, so its registered address would place those dollars somewhere no donor need ever have been. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
