What Miriam Medical Clinics does
Mission
The Mission of Miriam Clinics, Inc (MMC) is to provide multi-disciplinary competent, compassionate and accessible health care regardless of ability to pay. MMC recognizes that there is a need for healthcare access to be provided to underserved citizens, who for any number of reasons, cannot obtain affordable care. In this awareness, there is also the appreciation that healthcare must be provided with a complete acknowledgment of the dignity, respect, and integrity desired by each patient. Addressing these needs fosters full participation of the patient in his/her care
As stated on its FY2023 Form 990.
Programs
MZT program takes medical care out of the clinic and into the communities. The project originated to get COVID vaccines into the Black and Brown communities. We have continued that and added flu vaccines and general health screenings in various locations around the city. We provide services in churches, parks, schools, community centers, and into homes of the disabled and elderly. During 2023 there were 265 COVID and 285 flu vaccines administered, 1213 patient encounters, and 118 patients attended educational presentations.

How concentrated its funding is
Miriam Medical Clinics leans on a few funders — its largest provides 76% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.
the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left
100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund Miriam Medical Clinics.
“Effective funders” = inverse Herfindahl index (1 / Σ shareᵢ²) — the number of equal-sized funders that would give the same concentration. Trends are read to FY2023, the last fiscal year that has finished arriving. FY2024–FY2026 are still being filed and are shown unshaded; they do not move any figure on this page.
