01What it does

What Minnesota Agri-Growth Council Inc does

Mission

The mission of the minnesota agri-growth council is to advocate for minnesota's food and agriculture industry by serving as a unified voice and promoting relationships with allied industries.

As stated on its FY2025 Form 990.

Programs

On its FY2025 return the organization reported a significant change in how it conducts a program.

We reformatted and restructured our annual fall summit to better reflect the needs and expectations of our membership and stakeholders.

Its own explanation, from Schedule O of that return (Part III, line 3).

  1. Repositioned and strengthened agrigrowth's role as a strategic partner and convener to address complex issues facing agriculture and food issues in minnesota. Conducted a two-day bus tour to help educate decision-makers on the current state of minnesota's food and farm economy. Kicked off a multi-year effort to develop a vision and priorities for minnesota's food and farm economy in 2040.

  2. Our 2025 ag & food summit successfully convened ag and food stakeholders across the midwest. The event was restructured and formatted, resulting in attendance up nearly 20% from the previous year. Operating losses were also reduced, making the event nearly break even.

The 2 programs described on its FY2025 Form 990, listed largest first by expense.

How concentrated its funding is

MINNESOTA AGRI-GROWTH COUNCIL INC leans on a few funders — its largest provides 83% of grant income and the top three 100%; half comes from just 1 funder.

the vertical line marks half of all grant income — 1 funder to its left

100% of the income these shares are computed over arrives through pass-through sponsors or from payers whose filings do not say what kind of payment it is. Concentration is still measured over all of it, because the money is real; what it does not support is a claim about how many institutions have chosen to fund MINNESOTA AGRI-GROWTH COUNCIL INC.
